Trump International Hotel Washington D.C. – the definition of luxury
Here’s my experience in the Trump International Hotel Washington D.C.. Earlier this year I had the oppurtunity to stay at this marvellous hotel. Of course I made a little room tour video about it and what can I say, this hotel is so good, that it’s hard to describe. So it’s probably better you watch the video below:
Right when I checked in, I was already impressed by the huge lobby, but even more than that by the way the empoyeed treated me as a guest. Polite, but also very relaxed with some nice small talk. That’s how it should be!
The building itself is the Old Post Office and I love how they managed to keep that historic feel to it, while transforming it to a modern hotel with 5 star comfort.
The room I booked was one category above the standard room. It was located right next to the EPA building and I had a partial view of the Washington Monument.
The Premier Room is very spacious and absolutely quiet. And with a gigantic bed full of gold and furniture that underlines the luxurious design and concept of the Trump brand I could get some good sleep (which I needed after a not-so-easy trip to Washington D.C. with a major US carrier ;-))
The bathroom is very big in size and there’s a shower as well as a bath tub. It felt bigger than some hotel rooms that I have seen…
An eye for details
The main part of the room features an amazingly comfortable bed and even more beautiful furniture. What I noticed is that the employees and the management at the hotel must have an eye for details, because there was simply nothing that could have been done better. The room was in a perfect state when I entered it -- no dirt, no dust (and it was in a perfect state when I left it, too ;-)). But really, I have seen five star hotels which didn’t deserve the stars, but this one here could serve as the definition of luxury.
In-room dining -- like a restaurant in your room
As I was very tired after a long journey that brought me acroos Europe to Northern Africa, back to Europe, then to the US, I just wanted to eat something before going to bed without leaving my room. So I called the room service and ordered a good burger along with a dessert, a milkshake and some fresh orange juice (an odd combination, I know…). The result was that they brought a special tray table, placed it in the middle of the room and I could have my burger just like in a restaurant. That was amazing!
The Trump International Hotel Washington D.C. is a fantastic place that I want to revisit. The hotel is located in the heart of Washington D.C. in a historic landmark. It has every luxury that I could imagine, while the employees have not only a professional approach to what they do, but they also love what they are doing. It is perfect if you are on a business trip, but it’s also perfect when you just want to relax.
